V.I.N.’S WORK

“Firstly, my major subject at university is social work, so I had to do an internship in a volunteering association. I chose V.I.N. (Volunteer Initiative Nepal) because I will work for the development of my own community and it’s a pleasure to participate and be involved in it.I’ve always been interested in helping people and trying to improve the life of those around me. Because we live in a community and I think it’s our duty to help each other. That’s why I chose my university. To keep on doing what I like and what I believe it’s fair for us, for the people, for the humanity. So, be a volunteer makes me feel useful,  actively participating  in the the community life.

Therefore, I like the work done by VIN for our community but sometimes I’d like to be more involved in the workflow management. That’s why I’m studying hard, to be able one day to do it by myself and manage a group of volunteers.”Biplah Jamkatel, 20 years old, Kathmandu, Tarkeshwor-7, local volunteer.Credits to: Boglárka HorváthDániel Hernádi
